My passion is to create beautiful spaces that encourage living a beautiful life.
To me, home isn’t just a place we lay our heads at night—it should be a sanctuary where we can recharge, a place where memories are made, and a reflection of who we are.
My Background
Having been born in Japan and raised in the United States, I have lived my entire life at the crossroads of identity. Through this unique experience being of two vastly cultures, I have a deep understanding and appreciation of both, while also being able to bridge the two.
This informs not only my design aesthetic, but also my approach to design, taking simplicity, order, and refinement from the East, while incorporating comfort, approachability, and warmth from the West. I take the best of both worlds to make something new.
Combined with my extensive experience in other design fields (graphic design, branding, marketing, fashion, beauty, entrepreneurship), this puts me in a unique position to help those wishing to create a home in Japan by bridging cultural and linguistic barriers, making your dreams a reality.
A foundation in design.
I graduated from Parsons The New School of Design where I extensively studied design principles, history, and theory setting the foundation for my creative practice. This set the tone for my creative career for years to come.
An appreciation for aesthetics.
Throughout my expansive career in both New York and Tokyo, I worked in multiple industries always in a creative capacity where I was constantly experimenting, refining, and developing my unique taste, working with a wide variety of brands and clients.
An education in luxury.
I graduated from New York University Stern School of Business with an MBA in Luxury, complementing my design background with a deeper understanding of luxury, both as a consumer and a professional. I know how to spot true luxury, and never compromise on quality.
An entrepreneurial spirit.
I successfully designed, developed, and launched my own self-care brand in Japan giving me invaluable experience in working with both Japanese and international stakeholders. I continue to bring an entrepreneurial spirit to everything I do, constantly learning from each experience while always striving for excellence
